BDO Services Luxembourg and all its affiliated companies (together referred to as “BDO Luxembourg” throughout this Policy) collect and process personal data relating to job applicants as part of their recruitment process.
BDO Luxembourg places the highest priority on protecting the confidentiality and privacy of your personal data and processes it in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
The Applicant Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains BDO Luxembourg’s commitment to keeping your personal data confidential and secure at all times.

COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
During the recruitment process, BDO Luxembourg collects personal information that may consist of, but is not limited to:
- Identification data: full name, gender, place and date of birth, nationality, identity card number, passport number, photo, signature
- Contact information: postal address, e-mail address, telephone number;
- Education and employment information: level of education, qualifications, experience, employment history, language skills;
- Information about your entitlement to work in Luxembourg: criminal record details (depending on the position), immigration status and related documentation;
- Financial information: your current level of remuneration, benefits;
- Other data included in your CV (hobbies, academic experiences, publications, use of IT tools etc.)
- Link to your social media pages (Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
BDO Luxembourg collects this information in different ways. For instance, data might be contained in your application form, CV or cover letter, obtained from documents you shared with BDO Luxembourg, or collected through phone or video calls, job interviews or other methods of assessment such as online questionnaires, personality tests or specific tests depending on the position.
BDO Luxembourg may also collect personal data about you indirectly: via your social media pages, from third parties designated by you, from our employees and/or other persons providing services for us.
Sensitive information is not collected during the recruitment process except where legally required.
BDO Luxembourg has a legitimate interest in processing personal data during the recruitment process. Processing data from job applicants is necessary to manage the job application in order to compile a shortlist for an interview and possible recruitment.
BDO Luxembourg might also have a legitimate interest to process data from job applicants to respond to or to defend against legal claims.
BDO Luxembourg may also need to process your personal data to ensure compliance with its legal obligations.
Your personal data is processed by the BDO Luxembourg HR team and can only be accessed by members of HR services as well as Partners or other people directly involved in the recruitment process.
BDO Luxembourg does not share, sell or distribute personal data to or with third parties unless the transfer of your data to third parties is necessary for the performance of the purpose for which it has been collected.. There is no transfer of your Personal Data outside the European Union.
Personal information may also be disclosed to law enforcement, regulatory, or other government agencies, or to other third parties, in each case to comply with legal or regulatory obligations or requests.
Your personal data is only kept for the period required for fulfilling your request and for a maximum of 2 years if you do not renew your application.
BDO Luxembourg will not use your personal data for direct marketing or any other purpose than those described above in this Policy.
You have the right to access and obtain a copy of your personal data on request, to have your personal data corrected or deleted, and to restrict our processing of your personal data.
You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data where BDO Luxembourg is relying on its legitimate interest as a legal basis for processing, and to ask BDO Luxembourg to transfer your personal data to you or another organisation.
